Something that is so commonplace that it is easily ignored and overlooked. It’s just a fact—no more, no less. Irony may be a played-out theme, and it’s indeed a bit ironic if the subjects in question are intended to draw attention—abnormal, frowned upon by upstanding, tax-paying citizens.

Me: Mm, I plan on staying up all night anyway. Sigh.
Sam: (Spanish accent) Mi amor. Why do you do this to yourself?
Me: Okay, Zorro.
Sam: (cont. accent) You're smile is like the moon on a brisk Spanish night and your hair shines like the maine of a galloping Arabian horse. I must leave you now mi amor, to get ze "beans" from Kroger for Aaron, Chan, and I's taco salad party.
Passive Me.
To the girl it may (should?) concern (because it’s apparently not concerning you at all):
I believe it’s common courtesy to move your personal belongings off of the table beside you if someone asks if the space is occupied or saved for someone, particularly if you replied, “no.” Unless today is opposite day, or I’m dreaming, usually that would mean that you’re...
Lent.
I love how Pastor Dan clarifies a lot; I recommend, particularly if doing a food-related fast:
Lent 2012. (Even if you are not doing a food-related fast, it’s still a helpful/encouraging read!)
Every year our pastors lovingly remind us that Lent isn’t about giving up something we already should be giving up (ie… giving up cigarettes and binge-drinking for 40 days only.. Stuff...

I am
Filthy, adulterous, infested, ungrateful, disease-ridden, selfish, judgmental, SINFUL, and more
But
I
Am
Renewed
and redeemed
and made whole again
by none other than
Jesus Christ
You see, His love for me
displayed there on the cross
Is THE greatest sacrifice in the history of creation.
How much longer can I live in the grave,
When I know that You have so lovingly crafted and...
Psalm 42:11
Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God.

A long sentence.
I think that if my nighttime semi-awake thoughts were to take physical form, they’d look somewhat like a horde of maniacal lemmings, swarming over everything in their way and eventually all jumping off a metaphorical cliff (that represents what? You tell me, Freud) into a metaphorical ocean (your turn, Jung), and hereby efficiently waking me up for another round of frantic manic panic.
Anonymous asked: what church do you go to?
Dearest Esther Son,
If you see this, then:
1) most likely, you should put a quarter in the jar;
2) let me know if you need a junky AT&T phone, at least temporarily;
3) know that I am praying for you! So are lots of other people! Don’t stress <3.

He reminded me today
that despite my differences with others
I am still always called to love.
What is this love given to us That saved my life through selfless sacrifice Although we fail, the cross prevails Forgiveness stands You take me back again

I may read Chambers’ devotional frequently… but I am still not giving my utmost for His highest.

1 Corinthians 2:1-5.
And I, when I came to you, brothers and sisters, did not come proclaiming to you the testimony of God with lofty speech or wisdom…
For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.
And I was with you in weakness and in fear and much trembling, and my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,...
This is not a post written with happy feelings.
The phrase “I could really care less” does not mean what you think it means. You’re saying that you really could care less than you do—which would imply that you are currently caring somewhat.
It’s “couldn’t.”
Anyway, could you please not say this phrase to my face when I’m talking about about something that matters a lot to me? It’s...
